OUR HISTORY

Eswatini Institute of Occpational Safety and Health Practitioners (EIOSHP)Is an association not for profit, registered in the Kingdom of Eswatini in terms of the Companies Act No. 8 of 2009, established and duly registered in 2023.

EIOSHP is a professional organization committed to the advancement of Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) practices and standards. The institute aims to support OSH practitioners through registration, certification, training, networking opportunities, and advocacy for improved health and safety standards.

We are a leading regulatory body and advocate for workplace safety and health in Eswatini, guided by a professional Code of Ethics. The organization was established to foster a culture of safety and promote a decent code of practice among safety and health professionals in the country.

Vision

Our vision is to foster a culture of safety and health in Eswatini that prioritizes Occupational Safety and Health and improve the national safety standards and practices to the level of international recognition.

Mission

To protect the safety and health of workers in all occupations through the establishment, promotion and continuous improvement of health and safety regulations, standards, procedures and training.

Target Audience

Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality (SHEQ) tertiary students, emerging and experienced safety and health professionals at all career levels, and organizations across all sectors in Eswatini — including construction, agriculture, textile, manufacturing, food processing and handling, logistics and transportation, mining, forestry, and beyond. We welcome anyone passionate about advancing occupational safety, health, environmental protection, and quality standards to join and contribute to our mission as the leading voice and pioneers of the profession in Eswatini

Objectives

In Eswatini, EIOSHP is a recognized non-profit organization (NPO) dedicated to preventing and minimizing workplace accidents and incidents. In order to do this, EIOSHP encourages its members and other stakeholders to adopt occupational health and safety management standards and practices.
